This section in our web site addresses projects that are in the design phase, or have started construction. The majority of these architectural projects are on Long Island, and incorporate renewable energy - green features into the design. In the finished construction drawing phase, we have the budget numbers from the contractors, and we are working with the client to determine finishes, if geo-thermal, solar panels, non VOC interior finishes, etc., are within the overall budget for the project. For some clients, before we finish the construction drawings, we provide a set of approved preliminary designs to contractors for pricing. This way the architect, client, and contractor can come together to make sure the project meets the clients design and budget expectations.
Lido Beach House Revised
The Lido Beach project has been changed to a stand alone new house. As we kept some of the same concepts of the original design, we were no longer bound by the existing house. The building now has a heavy fascia line which aids in passive solar screening. We also incorporated photovoltaics in conjunction with a geo-thermal system. This design utilizes the idea of sliding planes, to accentuate your experience in and around the building.
